Billy Blansett, 57, passed away on May 9, 2023 in Denver, Colo. after a courageous battle with cancer. Billy was surrounded by a host of his friends at his passing.

Billy will be remembered for his wit, free spirit and artistic talents. A native of DeRidder, he also lived in Mississippi before he finally settled in Colorado in his later years.

He is survived by his mother, Roberta Luttrell Scott (Luther); sister, Allyson Knotts (Chris); niece, Callee Knotts; and nephew, John Wesley Knotts, all of Soso, Miss., and special friend, Leigh Clancy of Denver.

Billy is predeceased by his father, William Lee Blansett  Sr.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 5 p.m. at the Beauregard Cemetery Pavilion with The Reverend Laraine Waughtal officiating .

In lieu of flowers a memorial to the Methodist Children’s Home in Sulphur, La. is suggested by Billy’s family.
