Elaine Marie Landry Coldiron, 82, went home to be with her Lord on May 10, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on Oct. 18, 1940, in Lake Charles, La., to the late Wanda Landry and Belin Landry Sr.

Growing up in Lake Charles, La., Elaine spent many joyful summers at the family camp at Big Lake. After enjoying her high school years at La Grange High School in Lake Charles, Elaine married Cleo Cooper Sr. of Yoakum, Texas, and raised their children, Lezlie and Lonnie. She enjoyed being a homemaker, as well as working as a school secretary, real estate agent, and interior decorator. She was later remarried to Don Coldiron and gained Nancy and Kim as children. Elaine and Don spent over 45 wonderful years together. They enjoyed living in several different cities together and settled in Houston, Texas. During those years she thrived on supporting her husband, children, and grandchildren. Elaine was a member of Spring Baptist Church Klein campus and loved worshipping with her church family. Elaine spent her life loving God and her family and friends.

She was an adamant encourager of everyone she met, never failing to speak positive words. Elaine often referred to herself as a “people person,” and that was exactly how she lived. She genuinely cared about people.
