On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, around noon, the patriarch of our family, James D. Robinson (J.G.) was escorted by the angels to heaven at 97 years of age. He was surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort in the comfort of his home. 

Survivors include his current wife, Elizabeth Robinson; his daughters, Alexis Linda Blake, Deborah Robinson; and son, J.D. Robinson Jr. He was blessed with an “adopted daughter” Drenda Owens. He leaves five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings as well as his son-in-law, Nicky Blake; and his wife of fifty five years, Margaret Robinson. 

A private graveside service will be held at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South at a later date.
