No. 1 North DeSoto 7
No. 2 Albany 4
North DeSoto (35-2) blasted three home runs to complete its second state championship three-peat in the last nine seasons.
With two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning, Laney Johnson launched a two-run shot to right field to give the Griffin their first lead, 5-4. Cameron Curtis hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and Payton Miller (3-for-4, run, 2 RBI) had one in the first inning.
Aly Delafield struck out 10 batters and walked three for North DeSoto.
Albany (26-4) pitcher Brilee Ford hit a pair of home runs, a three-run shot in the first inning and a solo in the third for a 4-2 lead.
Division III
No. 2 Kaplan 4
No. 1 Sterlington 0
Kaplan won its third state title and first since 2016 as Briley LeBouef pitched a shutout on Saturday.
LeBouef went the distance for the Pirates with four strikeouts and a walk.
Kaplan (27-8) shortstop Kennedy Marceaux went 2-for-2 with a double and solo home run to open the game. Abigail Ford hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning.
Sterlington (31-7) left eight runners in scoring position and had the bases loaded with one out in the fourth inning before hitting into a fielder’s choice and a ground out.
Division IV
No. 4 French Settlement 3
No. 2 Montgomery 1
French Settlement (24-10) never trailed Saturday as it won its first state championship in 24 years and stopped Montgomery from repeating as state champion.
Pitcher Mallory Miles struck out nine and walked two while holding the Tigers to one run on four hits.
Ava Acosta’s RBI double with one out in the top of the third inning plus an RBI single by Brooke Dupuy gave the Lions a 2-0 lead.
Montgomery (26-9) won the Class 1A title last season. The Tigers left a runner in scoring position in the third and fifth inning Ramsie McMorris drove in a run on a double with one out in the seventh.
Division V
No. 4 Converse 2
No. 2 Quitman 1, 9 inns.
Converse ended a nearly two decade title drought in dramatic fashion in extra innings.
With two outs in the top of the ninth inning, Abigail Friday doubled to right field to bring home Avery Prine for the go-ahead run.
Prine retired the side in the bottom of the ninth on a ground out and two strikeouts. Prine topped Quitman’s (29-5) Cali Deal in a pitcher’s duel with a 17-strikeout complete game and five walks. Deal struck out 12 with no walks while holding the Wildcats to three hits.
Converse (25-7) won its first state title since 1994.

No. 1 St. Thomas More 7
No. 2 Tioga 3
St. Thomas More (33-3) scored a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth inning to break open a 3-3 game and win its seventh state championship on Saturday.
STM’s Shyanna Irvin broke the tie with a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Irvin and Kennedy Stutes had two hits each for the Cougars.
Tioga (23-4) led 1-0 after a solo home run by Abbi Troquiville in the third inning and tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the fifth inning on K. Robert’s double to center field.
Division II
No. 1 Buckeye 4
No. 2 Vandebilt 1
Buckeye successfully defended its title on Saturday with a 4-1 Vandebilt Catholic.
Adysen Mitchell hit a clutch two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning to extend the Panthers’ lead to 3-0.
Olivia Henry pitched a complete game for the Panthers (25-9) with five strikeouts and no walks.
Vandebilt’s (29-8) Hays Rutledge hit a solo home run in the sixth.
Division III
No. 1 Calvary Baptist 13
No. 6 D’Arbonne Woods Charter 3, 5 inns.
Calvary Baptist three-peated as state champion on Saturday with a 5-inning run-rule win over D’Arbonne Woods Charter.
It is the Cavaliers fifth state title since 2016.
Calvary rocked D’Arbonne Woods pitcher B. Redden for 15 hits led by second baseman D. Lynch. She went 4-for-4 with four runs scored, an RBI and three doubles. R. Walker went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and T. Leadon went 2-for-4 with two runs, three RBI and a home run.
Kynzee Anderson was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts and a walk, while holding D’Arbonne Woods to five hits.
Division IV
No. 2 Riverside Academy 5
No. 1 Catholic-Pointe Coupee 0
Riverside Academy’s Amber Palermo pitched a complete-game shutout to lead the Rebels to their first state title since 2002.
Palermo held the Hornets (24-11) to three hits while striking out two and walking two.
Riverside (21-9) catcher Olivia St. Pierre had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a solo home run in the fourth inning and a two-run double in the fifth with two outs.
Lillian St. Germain had two hits for Catholic-Pointe Coupee, which made its third state title game appearance since 2019.
Division V
No. 1 Claiborne Christian 4
No. 3 St. Joseph’s-Plaucheville 1
Claiborne Christian (26-4) built up a 4-0 lead and never looked back on Saturday as the Crusaders won their third state title since 2019.
Anna Miller pitched a complete game three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks.
Allie Wainwright smashed a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the second inning and went 2-for-3.
Madelyn Dupuis struck out nine for St. Joseph’s (16-14), which made its first finals appearance since 2015.
