As of today, Prien Lake Park’s playground is fully reopened after months of hurricane repairs.

The playground equipment has been repaired and a new padded surface has been added to the play area. Throughout the park, every building – including picnic pavilions – has a new roof. The splash pad received new pumps; the restrooms near the boat launch, as well as the restrooms at Indian Bay Pavilion were painted; and various site amenities have been repaired or replaced.

Restorative work continues on the interior at Harbor’s Edge Pavilion. In addition, some green space will remain fenced off for drainage improvements and land preservation, as this work continues on the west end of the park near Harbor’s Edge.

Prien Lake Park, which is managed by the Police Jury, is located at 3700 West Prien Lake Road.
