Janet Leigh “Jane” Aycock Daigre, 74, of Lake Charles, passed away, Thursday, April 20, 2023,  in the comfort of her home following a brief illness.

Jane was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.  She was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School and McNeese State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She worked 20 years in nursing at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Neonatal ICU and as a Home Health Nurse. She worked the last ten years at Lake Area Women and Children’s Hospital in Postpartum, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed painting: ceramics, acrylics and canvas, arts and craft projects and crocheting.  She also enjoyed the company and laughter of family and good friends.  She especially loved the “girls birthday getaways”! Mrs. Daigre will be most remembered for her genuine spirit,  “terms of endearment” and her love for her family.
