A DeQuincy man has been found guilty in the 2021 rape of a mentally disabled juvenile.

A jury convicted William G. Perkins, 60, of first-degree rape on Thursday in 14th Judicial District Court in just 13 minutes.

Perkins is facing a life sentence without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

His sentencing has been scheduled for May 19 before Judge Clayton Davis.
