Bryon “Wayne” Cloyd, 87, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at West Cal-Cam Hospital.

Wayne was born Aug. 6, 1935, in West Monroe, but was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, La. In 1953, he married Alice Gaar. Wayne retired from Gulf States Utilities in 1994. He enjoyed driving and traveling with his wife of almost 70 years. He was also an avid LSU baseball fan. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Sam and Coleen Cloyd; brother, Wilford Cloyd; son, Michael Cloyd; and daughter, Cindy Kiser.

He is survived by his wife Alice; daughter, Monica Cloyd; daughter-in-law, Donna Cloyd; and son-in-law, Calvin Kiser; four grandchildren, Brian Cloyd, Dereck (Aimee) Cloyd, Casey Solieu, and Laurynn (Luke) Doucet; and eight great-grandchildren.
