Gail Peters Lambert, 74, of Lake Charles, passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, in a local hospital.

Ms. Lambert was born on Nov. 10, 1948, in Lake Charles, where she lived all of her life. She attended high school in White Face, Texas, and also was a graduate of Demmon School of Beauty in Lake Charles.  Ms. Lambert was a very honored and devoted caregiver for Mr. Charles Noble and his family for 17 years.  She also had the pleasure of taking care of several of her family members when they were in need.  

She loved going to the Senior Center to play bingo and she was quite the elaborate decorator when it came to the different holidays and seasons of the year.  Ms. Lambert had an extensive collection of decorations.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Keith Comeaux of Lake Charles; children, Christal Lewis (Richard) of Chester, Ill., Russell Nelson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Elizabeth Kuehn of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Jessica Rae Shafer of Concord, Calif.; a brother, Mark Paul Ardoin (Melissa) of Alexandria; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Beaux and Abby Fay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jo Ardoin and Duke Peters; sisters, Althea Roberts, Pat “Bootsie” Melancon, Shelly Jo Ardoin and Blanche Peters; and a grandson, Wade Nelson.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Marcus Wade will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the start of the service.
