Funeral service for Carlos Daniels will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Bayou Jacque Church of Christ with Bro. David Broussard officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayou Jacque Church of Christ Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Daniels, age 78, of Bayou Jacque, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023,  at the Opelousas General Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos M. Daniels; his mother and step-father, Dorothy Devers Hill and Harvey Hill; and sisters, Sharon D. Murphy and Dale D. Metrailer.

Survivors include his children, Tracy Broussard (David) of Bayou Jacque, Christopher Daniels (Jamie) of Lake Charles, Gabriel Daniels (Ramie) of Columbus, Miss., and Joseph Dalcambre (Betty) of Grand Lake; his brothers, Harvey Hill Jr. (Libby) of Nederland, Texas, and John Hill of Manor, Texas; sister, Joyce Merrin of Nederland, Texas; his caregiver, Carolyn Daniels; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson,  Anson “Little A”.

Friends may visit on Friday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Bayou Jacque Church of Christ.
