Nicholas Hunter Hinton

Nicholas Hunter Hinton passed away of suicide at seventeen years old on Thursday, March 30, at 4:07 p.m.
Hunter is survived by his mother Rachel Murphy Hinton, sister Abby Hinton, sister Lauren Salvador and brother-in-law Matthew Johnson, Uncle T-Pat Murphy and Aunt Jackie Bares, cousin Jordan Murphy, Uncle Erik and Aunt Samantha Murphy and family (Toni, Albus, Tivoli, and Vanessa), and grandparents Jeff and Adel Murphy. Hunter is also survived by his father Steven Hinton, brother Joshua Hinton and family (Bianca, Addie, and Dominic), and Aunt Lori Moss Daabes and family (Brandon and Ryan).
Hunter is preceded in death by his great grandparents Bill and Jerry Harris and his grandparents Daniel and Frances Plauche.
Hunter was truly loved by and shone his light on all who knew him. Thank you for sending Hunter’s family and friends your love and prayers; God has our back, and the prayers are the glue that is holding us together. Although we are feeling deep sadness, we are also comforted to know Hunter has gifted miracles to other families by donating his tissues and life-saving organs.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home in Iowa, followed by funeral services at 12 p.m. with Pastor Tony Bourque officiating in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Burial will follow in St. John Vianney (Lorraine DeRouen) church cemetery in Bell City.
Please do not wear black to the funeral, per Hunter’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hobo Hotel For Cats of Lake Charles in honor of Hunter and his cat Mr. Fluffles.
