Larry James Bellard, age 54, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away March 11, 2023, at Mansfield Methodist Hospital after a long battle with kidney disease.
Larry Bellard was born Sept. 9, 1968, in Lake Charles, La., to Joseph Tim Bellard and Eunice Marie Bellard (Vital) but lived in Iowa for most of his life. He attended Iowa Public Schools where he was recognized for his outstanding athletic accomplishments and graduated in the year of 1987. Larry joined the U.S. Army Dec. 27, 1989, and completed his military basic and specialty training at Fort Sill, Okla. Upon completion of his military training he arrived to Germany for his first duty station and was deployed to Desert Storm shortly thereafter. He was honorably discharged from service March 6, 1992.
Larry was a true man of his catholic faith and if you ever met him, it was obvious that he was an Angel of GOD. A true blessing to all his family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Tim Bellard and Eunice Vital Bellard. Survived by a host of family members and friends, he leaves his brother Randy Vital, sister Lisa Bellard Vereen, sister-in-law Janette Vital, nephews Jaylyn W. LeMelle, Jordan D. Vital, Randy J. Vital and nieces Timia C. Mayberry, Chelsea S. Vital, Erin K. Vereen and great niece Jayla LeMelle. He will be truly missed by many.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Combre Funeral home Chapel. Burial will be in Lorraine Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
