U.S. Congressman Clay Higgins, R-Louisiana, announced today that the FAA is awarding $6,939,239 in federal grant funding for the Lake Charles Regional Airport.
This funding will reconstruct two existing hangars used for aircraft service and storage to assist the airport, expand the non-revenue generating airport parking lot, and construct a maintenance shop building to house maintenance equipment, Higgins said.
“Economic prosperity for SW Louisiana requires expansion and modernization of our airports” Higgins said. “This grant funding provides the airport with much-needed resources to upgrade and expand its facilities so that we can continue to serve our communities and this great nation.”
