Irene Lyles, age 91, of Moss Bluff, La., passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023.
She was born to parents Melvin and Iolet Hoover on May 7, 1931, in Eunice, La.
Irene was very immersed in the lives of her family and loved being involved in the many activities of her grandchildren.She loved cooking and her soap operas.
Irene attended Moss Bluff Bible Church in Moss Bluff, La.
She is welcomed into heaven by her husband of 68 years, Johnnie E. Lyles; her parents; two brothers, two sisters; a granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Those left to cherish Irene’s memory are her sons, Johnnie D. Lyles (Tina) and Terry Lyles (Penny); daughters, Linda Williams (Richard), and Kathy Jones (Jerry); one sister; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will welcome the public for visitation at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Visitation will resume Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow services at Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff, La.
