Larry “Boudin” Adam Derouen, age 72, of Welsh, La., passed away on Tuesday, Feb.28, 2023. He was born Feb. 13, 1951 in New Orleans to Wilbur and Berdie Derouen.
Boudin was a resident of Welsh his entire life where he was a rice and crawfish farmer before he retired on his family farm. Boudin loved hunting, fishing, cooking and most of all spending time with his friends and family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rachel Lopez and husband Luke; four grandchildren, Taylor, Trevor, Trent and Tanner Lopez; one great-grandchild, Baker Lopez; step son, Michael Bryant Courts and wife Leslie; step daughter, Bonnie Conner; six step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Alice Derouen; and sister, Marie Delores Ransonnet.
The family will welcome family and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Sunday, March 5, 2023 beginning at 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to be held at 3 p.m.
