James Edward Chapman, age 84, of Many, La., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, surrounded by his daughters. James was born in Moss Bluff, to Fred Chapman Jr. and Mary Louise Chatelain Chapman.
James worked as a Pipefitter and was a member of the Local 198. James was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being in the outdoors and living on Toledo Bend Lake!
James was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Chapman; granddaughter, Whitney Bland; parents; and brother, Phillip Chapman.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Teri Gunter of Sulphur, La., Toni Romero (Jarrod) of Youngsville, La.; two siblings, Fred and Stanley Chapman; son-in-law, Ricky Gunter; three grandchildren, Savanna Gunter, Kyle Gunter, Gavin Tremie; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Gunter and Elliott Gunter.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff until time of service.
Funeral Service will begin at 3 p.m on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at Hixson Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Craft officiating. Burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
