Patricia “Patti” Sheridan of Lacassine, La., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023 in Welsh, La. Patti was born Jan. 29, 1948, in Jennings, La. to Rodney Joseph Thibodeaux Sr. and Della (LeLeaux) Thibodeaux. She was a 1966 Graduate of Lacassine High School.
Patti dedicated her life to raising her family and extending her home to those in need. She was a devout Catholic, serving the church in various ways. Patti was a member of the Catholic Daughters, enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, reading and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Joseph Thibodeaux Sr;. and husband of 54 years, Danny Sheridan.
Left to mourn her passing are her three children, Daniel Sheridan IV and wife Melanie of Winona, Minn., Wade Sheridan and his wife Trisha of Sulphur, La., and Mandi Kimball and her husband Chris of Missouri City, Texas; mother, Della Thibodeaux of Lacassine; two brothers, R.J. Thibodeaux Jr. and his wife Diane of Sulphur, La., and Russell Thibodeaux and his companion Cathy; 12 grandchildren, Kayla Griffen and her husband Gage, Andrew Sheridan, Matthew Sheridan, Emily Sheridan, Hannah Sheridan, Sarah Sheridan, Jacob Sheridan, Joshua Sheridan, Joseph Sheridan, Isaac Sheridan, Kyler Kimball and Mason Kimball; and one great-granddaughter, Parker Kate Griffen.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023 beginning at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023 at 8 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa at 10 a.m. Burial will be immediately following at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Lacassine.
