The Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Largo Police Department in Largo, Fla., in July about a victim being extorted for money, according to Chief Deputy Chris Ivey.

According to the investigation, Hines is accused of posing as a female and obtaining nude photos of the victim then threatening to distribute the photos if the victim did not send him $1,000.

Detectives were able to obtain enough evidence and issue an arrest warrant.
