Suzanne Riddle Nelson, 74 years old, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023. She was born on March 22, 1948, to Oliphant and Myrtle Jordan Riddle in Oak Grove, La.
Suzanne was very active in her church. She retired from Market Basket after many years of service as a cashier. She was loved by many friends and family, whose lives were touched profoundly by her kindness and compassion.
Those left to cherish her memory are, her two sons, Warren Nelson Jr. and Todd Nelson, both of Orange, Texas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Warren Nelson Sr.; her father, Oliphant Norman Riddle.
Her funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. The Rev. J.R. Armstrong will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4 p.m. until the start of the service at 6 p.m. A graveside burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
