BREAKING: Parole rescinded for KK’s Corner killer

The parole that was granted this week for KK’s Corner killer Thomas Cisco has been rescinded.

Calcasieu Parish District Attorney Stephen Dwight said he requested the chance to review all disciplinary records for Cisco on Thursday and was informed of an unreported infraction of contraband that would render ineligibility of parole.

The infraction occurred before the parole hearing took place on Feb. 8. On Feb. 9, Cisco went before a disciplinary board and pled guilty to the infraction. Dwight said it has been confirmed that Cisco’s parole has been rescinded.

In February 2004, the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office recused itself in State of Louisiana v. Thomas Cisco due to a potential conflict of interest. The conflict at the time of recusal no longer exists and Dwight said his office has sent a letter of request to the Attorney General’s Office to return this case back to Calcasieu Parish for further handling, including any future post-conviction, appellate, or parole proceedings.

“There was a miscarriage of justice that occurred when this violent killer was granted parole. Like many other citizens in our community, I too was outraged, and I have not slept since. I am thankful to the Louisiana Parole Board for their swift action and rescinding his parole. It is my hope that this case will be returned back to Calcasieu where it belongs,” Dwight said.
