Aaron McNeal, Sr.

Aaron McNeal Sr., 69, was born Aug. 26, 1953, to his loving parents, Carl McNeal Sr. and Marie Duhon McNeal. He was raised by a caring couple, Leo and Geneva Stevens. He lived in Lake Charles, where he attended Washington High School and graduated in 1973. Aaron served four years in the Marine Corps. Aaron married the love of his life, Barbara McNeal on March 17, 1983, and to this union they had three sons that was the light of his world. Aaron was a hard worker and provider for his family; he worked for Entergy for many years. He loved spending time with family, especially his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching the football games with his sons despite the fact they each went for a different team and he sure loved home cooked meals by his wife. Family meant everything to him and it showed like a ray of light through his actions daily!!!
Aaron was called to his eternal home on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023. His smile that could brighten up a dark and gloomy day will be missed by all that knew him.
Aaron leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Barbara McNeal; his sons, Aaron McNeal Jr. (Miranda), Cedric McNeal (Cetonya), and Jeremy McNeal; his special friend, Linda Lopez; four sisters, Myrtle McNeal Robinson, Debra McNeal, Delores McNeal and Trina Williams; three brothers, Carl McNeal Jr. (Katherine), Fredrick Thomas (Salena) and Charles McNeal; seven grandchildren, Timothy Berard, Cedric McNeal Jr., Londyn McNeal, Kelan McNeal, Jalayia McNeal, Denalah Lopez and Dae’Shaun Plumber; foster siblings, Susie Stevens, Theresa Anderson, Cassie Vital, Sandra Anderson, Louann Richmond, Joseph Richmond and Domonique Stevens, a very special cousin that was dear to his heart, Danna Pettus and a brother-n-law that was like a natural brother to him, Charles Smith.
Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Carl McNeal Sr. and Marie Duhon McNeal; his foster parents, Leo and Geneva Stevens; brothers, Robert White, Ray Stevens, Patrick Richmond, Adam White and Frank Stevens; and one sister, Lisa Richard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at 9 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. at King’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.
