Loutie “Lou” LeBert

Loutie Mae “Lou” Marceaux LeBert, 93, passed away peacefully at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 at her son’s residence.
Mrs. LeBert was born Oct. 26, 1929 in Lyons Point, La., where she was raised on a rice farm. She moved to Lake Charles in 1946, when she married the love of her life, Jacques Nelson LeBert. During her younger years, she attended St. Margaret Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting trinkets, listening to music, and dancing and spending time with her friends, but her true love in life was always for her family.
Mrs. LeBert is survived by her son, Ray LeBert (Linda) of Westlake; grandchildren, Gail Combs (Jevan) of Ragley and Jennifer Hixon (Byron) of Moss Bluff; great-grandchildren, Angelle Rogers (Ashley), Adriana Rogers, Tyler Hixon (Rachel Woods), and Haley Hixon; along with a host of close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jacques Nelson LeBert; daughter, Mary Alice Winters; parents; one sister; two brothers; and an infant brother.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Deacon Anthony Pousson will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. and continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the start of the service.
