Jennifer Ann Consigney, 75, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 at a local hospital.
Jennifer was a native of Lake Charles, the daughter of Richard Joseph and Catheryn Ann Williams Benton. She was a 1965 Graduate of LaGrange High School and continued her studies at McNeese State College. In 1967 she moved to Las Vegas where she started a long and successful career in Health Care Administration and Human Resources field. In 2000, Jennifer moved back to Lake Charles where she worked for and retired from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She went back to work at Memorial after her retirement in another capacity, as enjoyed working and also spending time with her feline friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William “Bill” Benton and Richard Benton; and the father of her son, Danny Consigney. She is survived by her son, Mike Consigney of Lake Charles; and her beloved cats, Caesar, Callie, Boo Boo and Gypsy.
Visitation will be from Noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. A Celebration of her life will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral Home with the Rev. David Dewitt officiating.
