Joseph “Charlie or Chuck” Charles Comeaux

On May 31, 1935, the union of Paolita Guidry and Alexis Comeaux produced a son, Joseph Charles “Charlie or Chuck” Comeaux. On Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, he received the call from the Lord to come home. Willingly, he answered the call.
After high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Throughout his life he worked as a bread salesman, a theater manager, owned & operated Steamatic of Lake Charles and eventually retired from Sears.
He is survived by Ida Mae Comeaux, his wife of 59 years; daughters, Cindy Daigle and husband Dwayne Daigle; son, David Ryan Comeaux and wife Marlene; daughter, Sally Ann Moore, all of Lake Charles; son, Joseph Guidry and wife Lydia of Breaux Bridge; and one sister, Marie Adele Connolly of Lafayette; several grandkids and great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Odel and Paul Comeaux.
Funeral service will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. Pastor Dwayne Daigle, officiant. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Friday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
