Virginia “Ginny” Louise Chandler LeBoeuf, 70, of Lake Charles, La., passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, in her residence.
Mrs. LeBoeuf was born Nov. 23, 1952, in Bryan, Texas. As an Air Force family, they traveled during her younger years, and she graduated from Fort Worth High School. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration. Mrs. LeBoeuf is a longtime resident of Lake Charles, La. Throughout the years she taught computer classes at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and at McNeese State University. She moved on to be Vice-President over Administration at Cameron Communications, where she worked for 14 years, retiring in 2005. She found the Lord later in life and was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she worked with the children’s group and taught children’s Sunday school. Mrs. LeBoeuf also enjoyed her meetings with BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). One of her greatest joys was seeing others find their way to Jesus as well. Her faith in Christ was evident in all she did. She graciously prayed for others daily, regularly put others needs before hers, and had a special way of making people feel comfortable, nurtured, and appreciated. She had a tender way of going about things and truly invested in the lives of others. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time outside with her flowers, but her true passion in life has always been for her family and for children. She was always undoubtedly the biggest supporter of the many adventures she had with her loving husband, Robert. They enjoyed everything together: from sitting outside talking by the fire in the back yard to camping, sailing, and travelling on the motorcycle together.
Mrs. LeBoeuf is survived by her husband of 26 years, Robert James LeBoeuf; children, Erin Caples, Chloe LeBoeuf, all of Lake Charles, Chad LeBoeuf (Amy) of Sulphur, Melissa Bordelon (Corey), Michelle Burch (Mark), all of Lake Charles, and Craig Weaver (Renee) of Brookhaven, Miss.; brothers, Weldon Chandler (Betty Jean) of North Carolina, and Thomas Chandler (Ann) of Texas; grandchildren, Hannah, Jack, Emily, Jacob, Caleb, Dallas, Dilyn, and Dakota; and numerous friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Barbara Ann Fartelli Chandler; sister, Barbara Ann Nanasha; and grandsons, Jarrett Thomas Burch and Mason Scott Burch.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Parmentier will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Mohammad Khan and his staff for their care and compassion.
