Liborio “Lee” Mancuso Marcello Sr.

Lee Marcello, 84, passed away on Dec. 13, 2022, at his home. He was born on Feb. 26, 1938, in DeRidder, La. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Mancuso Marcello and Katherine Gengo Marcello; his wife, Jeanne Fazzio Marcello; and his siblings, Frank Anthony Marcello and Anna Jane Evans. He is survived by his children, Liborio Jr., David, and Michael (Holly) Marcello; grandchildren, Amanda Kerr (Jesse), Brandon, Christopher, and Justin Marcello; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Everleigh Kerr; lifelong friend and business partner, Wilfred “Cooley” Johnson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lee was a Commercial General Contractor and would often go to a job site with a suit on only to roll up his sleeves and start working. Lee was a devout Catholic and a 4th Degree Knight with the St. Louis King of France Knights of Columbus Ludovicum Council 4663. Lee joined the K of C in 1958. He assisted with building the K of C Hall in Metairie in 1968. Lee was very active in the organization and looked forward to their events. He loved eating at Kenner Seafood with friends and family where he would order the biggest boiled crab they had.
