Statewide the constitutional amendments up for consideration include banning those who aren’t United States citizens from registering to vote or casting ballots in Louisiana elections, and requiring state Senate confirmation of the governor’s appointees to the State Civil Service Commission and the State Police Commission.

In Calcasieu Parish, voters will also decide runoffs for three School Board seats, Westlake and Iowa mayor and a Westlake City Council seat. A parishwide millage renewal that would benefit the Chennault International Airport Authority as well as a sales tax renewal in Vinton are also on the ballot.
