Clomaline P. “Cloma” Broussard

Clomaline P. “Cloma” Broussard, 90 years old, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. She was born on Nov. 6, 1932, to Fergust and Nina Landry Primeaux in Erath, La.
After graduation, she started her keypunch career in Lafayette, La., at All American. After marrying, she and Ed moved to Lake Charles, and she went to work for Cities Service. Then the kids started coming and she stayed home to care for the family. In 1972, she went back to work in bank processing and worked for several area banks until her retirement in 1999. Then she started caring for grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which was her and Ed’s most rewarding job!
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jill Breaux (Gerald) of Lake Charles, David Broussard (Jackie) of Lake Charles, Philip Broussard (Marty) of Lake Charles, Neal Broussard (Teresa) of Seabrook, Texas, Pamela Gautreaux (Kevin) of Lake Charles, Rita Crochet (Jeaux) of Lake Charles, and; her grandchildren, Heather Breaux (Chris), Celeste Milner (Luke), Erin Thibodeaux (Brett), Mandi Pryor (Strekker), Meagan Broussard, Kameron Quesenberry (Winston), Jessica Crochet, Brandon Broussard, Blake Broussard (Taylor), Garrett Broussard, Josie Crochet, Kayleigh Gautreaux (Kyle), Gabby Broussard, Lexy Broussard and Jaida Crochet (Devin); 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and her sister, Jeanelle Fillman of Grand Junction, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Edward Broussard; her sisters, Lailda Delcambre, Wanda Reaux, Eloise Bouillion; her brothers, James, Larry and Bradley Primeaux.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Levi Thompson will serve as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. until leaving in procession to the church at 12:30 p.m.
The family would like to give special thanks to CHRISTUS Hospice nurses, Bailey and Tennille and her aide, Tracy for their compassionate care.
