The activities will be located at various locations throughout the mall.

It was a priority for the City of Lake Charles to develop a Halloween event in a safe and climate-controlled environment.

“As the City, doing our part to help offer such an event is a critical quality of life component,” said Nic Hunter, Lake Charles mayor. “We want our families to be able to enjoy a number of free fun and safe events throughout the year.”

Safe trick-or-treating is available throughout Southwest Louisiana, he said.

“Putting on your favorite costume and going trick-or-treating for Halloween is a time-honored tradition. We are pleased to see so many churches, nonprofit organizations and neighborhoods step up and offer controlled and safe environments for these activities to take place,” Hunter said.

The BOO-tastic bash has been a successful event in the past. He attributes the success of the event to partnerships “For a number of years now the City of Lake Charles has engaged with the Prien Lake Mall and other sponsors to offer the Boo-Tastic Bash to the community,” he said. “Partnerships such as this one are vital for a healthy community.”
