The magic of Disney is returning to Lake Charles with the Disney on Ice show “Into The Magic.” Viewers will have the opportunity to see Disney characters — both old and new — at the Lake Charles Civic Center from Friday, Oct. 28, to Sunday, Oct. 30.
The show will be hosted by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who will be joined by characters such as Moana, Belle, Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa. The chilly exhibition will “bring audiences on an expedition across raging sea, snow covered mountains and the marigold bridge,” according to a press release distributed by Disney on Ice.
The show will feature five performances spanning the worlds of “Moana,” “Frozen,” “Coco” and “Beauty and the Beast” and more. Themes of individuality and perseverance will be prevalent throughout the show
Into The Magic first transports audiences on a high-seas adventure as Moana embarks on a life-changing quest to save her island with the assistance of the demigod Maui. Disney On Ice turns the ice surface into a wide maritime landscape, emphasizing Moana’s tenacity and willpower. This captivating environment enables viewers to strengthen their current bond with their favorite wayfinder and learn that one’s actual identity is never out of reach.
Guests will next witness scenes on the Marigold Bridge with a vibrantly colored performance featuring skeletons present in a lovely cultural celebration of family in Pixar’s Coco, which takes place in the gorgeous and ethereal Land of the Dead. Audiences are then welcomed into the realm of Beauty and the Beast by stunning production numbers as Belle demonstrates what it means to be bold.
Next, together with her new pals in the magical castle, Belle is inspired to go above the norm and find happiness even in the most hopeless circumstances. Fans will realize there are teachable moments in everyday life as she sees through the Beast’s hard exterior to his loving heart. Anna and Elsa, Rapunzel and Flynn, and Cinderella, heroic heroes from Frozen, Tangled, and Cinderella, inspire people to believe via their agility and grace.
The show will last around 2 hours with a 15-minute intermission.
Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com. The prices range from $25 to $133 of the main event, depending on location in the Arena and date of show. All guests aged 2 or older are required to have a ticket.
