Ezie Joseph Granger

Ezie Joseph Granger, 85 years old, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022. He was born on Sept. 7, 1937, to Louis and Eva Duplechin Granger in Soileau, La.
Mr. Granger retired after 30 years of faithful service with the Port of Lake Charles as a Longshoreman. He was a hard worker, and devoted family man. He enjoyed working in his yard, and always kept it immaculate. He was well known for his award-winning Christmas light display. He kept an eye on the weather, and loved watching the local news and weather programs. For many years he raised a variety of birds. He was easy going, and loved staying at home. Most of all he adored his gorgeous wife, Earline and his children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his beloved wife of 67 years, Earline Comeaux Granger; his children, Garrett Granger (Connie) of Livingston, La., Sheila Wagner (Richard) of Iowa, La., and Sonja Tucker (Shane) of DeRidder, La.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Granger; his parents; one brother; and four sisters.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Chapel. Burial will follow in Westlake Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation on Tuesday evening will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the start of the service at 10 a.m.
