In loving memory of our mother, Ollie Mae Raney, who passed away on Oct. 3, 2022, at the age of 93. She was the devoted wife of Gilbert H. Raney and loving mother of fourteen. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by Gilbert H. Raney (husband), Elray and Calvin “Cal” Raney (sons); Winfield Miller Sr. and Raney “Randy” McZeal (sons-in-law); Joseph and Alice Latigue (parents); Julia (Wesley), Beula (Jessie “Boo”) Coleman, Lola (Lavergne/Eddie) Broussard (sisters); Wedges, Jackson, Wallace (Edna) and Arron (brothers). She is survived by children Annie (Russell) Robinson, Harold (Barbara) Raney, Doris Miller, Catherine McZeal, Larry (Louise) Raney, Yvonne (Herbert Sr.) Stevens, Yvette (Cornell) Keller, Lisa (Curtis) Cook, Charles Raney, John (Donyell) Raney, Troy (Angel) Raney and Judy (Maurice) Garrett, brother Martin (Olga) Latigue and sister-in-law Jean Latigue (Arron), She will also be survived by a host of grandchildred, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Wake will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Fondel Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be 9 a.m. -11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Zion Travelers Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park.
