M. Lucinda Burt Knighton, born March 16, 1936, to Fred and Glyn Burt in Bossier City, La., went to her eternal home with our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family.
She is survived by her children she loved without measure, three sons, Dale Conway Knighton (Daronda), Matthew Christopher Knighton (Dae), Stacy Clint Knighton (Deanna); stepdaughter, Debbi Page; foster son and nephew, John Fred Burt III; and foster daughter and niece, Rebecca Cormier (Arthos). She also leaves grandchildren that she was so proud of and blessed to be their “Gram,” Joshua Knighton, Seth Knighton, Dylan Knighton, Jordain Cross, Breanna Cross, Isabelle Cross, Joshua Cross, Kara Knighton, Jordyn Knighton, Whitney Knighton, Demi Knighton (Carlos), Mason Knighton (Sophie), Michael Page and Misty Puckett (Johnathan); great-grandsons, Christian Page, Jessie Granger II, Nolan Knighton, Carson Spina and Cohen Spina; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. Knighton; son, Daniel Mark Knighton; parents, John Fred Burt Sr. and Glyn Burt; and two brothers, John Fred Burt Jr. and Thomas Burt.
Funeral service Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, will be at 10:30 a.m. at Christian World Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Snider will officiate. Interment services will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Iowa. Visitation Wednesday will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Visitation Thursday will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Christian World.
Pallbearers for her services will be Ronald Ardoin, Josh Cross, Dylan Knighton, Mason Knighton, John Lavern, Donald Shilow and Saul Wilson.
