Dr. Michael William DuBose (“Mike”)

Dr. Michael William DuBose (“Mike”), 69, of Ragley, La., passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at his residence. He was born to his late parents, Sidney and Henrietta DuBose on Dec. 25, 1952, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Mike was raised in Nederland, Texas, and graduated from Lamar University in 1975 and the School of Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1979. He practiced dentistry in Moss Bluff for nearly 25 years and was an active member of the community and his church. He had a passion for gunsmithing and was always at his happiest spending time and hunting with his family in Ragley.
He is survived by his son, Michael Christopher DuBose (Collette) of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Danny DuBose (Jackie) of Scott, La., and John DuBose (Barbara) of Ragley, La.; along with his three grandchildren, Scarlett DuBose, Mikey DuBose, and Gage DuBose, all of Houston, Texas.
Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane DuBose; along with both his parents.
A Celebration of Dr. DuBose’s life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, La., on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alan Weishampel officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Squyres Methodist Cemetery in Ragley, La.
Services are entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
