Mary Reynolds, 80, passed away peacefully on Aug. 17, 2022, in Apache Junction, Ariz., while visiting family; 12 days after the passing of her husband Jim. Mary was born on Nov. 30, 1941, in Brownsville, Texas, to Oscar and Mary Rohrman. She was the fourth of seven children. Mary is survived by her son, Joe; daughter, Tracy; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth.
Mary was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness for over 60 years and took seriously the commission given at Matthew 28:19, 20 where it says, “Go therefore, and make disciples…teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.” She did this for many years, volunteering her time and energy helping others to study Gods’ Word in both English and Spanish until her death.
On Dec. 17, 1960, Mary wed Joseph Cormier and remained married for almost 42 years until his death. Mary and Jim were married for seven years until their passing. Mary’s ministry touched many lives and she knew that she was one voice in a mighty army offering an opportunity to come to know Jehovah God personally as a God of love, peace, and purpose. Like Mary, her family finds comfort in the hope of Isaiah 33:24, which says, “And no resident will say: “I am sick.” The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error.”
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at 3 p.m. (CT) at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Prien Lake, 2551 Alma Dr., Lake Charles, LA 70607. Brother Jerry Broussard will deliver the memorial talk.
