Construction is underway on a family entertainment complex at the former site of Stine Lumber on Country Club Road.
The 35,000 square-foot complex will be the new location for Lake Area Adventures, a recreation and entertainment company that is currently located at 5959 Common St.
The multi-faceted entertainment complex will include:
- An 1,800-square-foot indoor, competition-length, temperature-controlled pool.
- A 10,500-square-foot custom-designed inflatable jump air park.
- A state-of-the-art video game lounge featuring gaming consoles, PCs and virtual reality gaming.
- Southwest Louisiana’s first bouldering/rock climbing wall.
- A configurable event space.
- A performance state for live entertainment.
- Its own restaurant.
Lake Area Adventures General Manager Tim Robles said the investment is forward-looking and seeks to bring “entertainment and adventure” to Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas.
“Our goal is to expand the entertainment and recreation opportunities for people of all ages,” Robles said. “This is going to give families, groups of friends and even businesses a place to come together, enjoy a great meal and have some fun. We’re excited to see this dream become a reality.”
Lake Area Adventures will continue to offer boat and kayak rentals, water tours and other experiences from its current Common Street location.
The new facility, located at 1337 Country Club Road, is set to open in 2023.
