Rhoda Prince

Rhoda Earlene Prince, 64, died on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at 5:32 p.m. at home. Rhoda was born Aug. 2, 1958, in Sulphur, La., to the late Dr. RE Prince Jr and Genevieve LaBiche Prince. She is a 1983 graduate of Sulphur High School where she cheered her four brothers and two sisters on in every sport they participated in and later her nieces and nephews. Rhoda kept score for softball and baseball games at SPAR for several years. She was a LaSallette ACTS sister and made rosaries for many people throughout the country. Rhoda was one of a kind! To have her as friend meant you were prayed for daily. She is of Catholic Faith and loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She loved listening to gospel music, especially her favorite singer Jason Crabb.
Left to cherish her memories are brothers, Ricky (Audrey) Prince of Vinton, Ronny (Dianne) Prince of Sulphur, BB (Kathy) Prince of Sulphur; sisters, Regina Fisher of Sulphur, Raissa (Glenn) Cecchini of Lake Charles; and brother, Rocky (Tracey) Prince of Sulphur; 18 nieces and nephews, Ricky Darren, Scooter (Shelley), Hadley (Brandi), Ran (Lani), Dooley (Tara) and Josh (Micaela) Prince, Colt (Kelsey) and Fallon Fisher, Garin (Katie) and Gavin Cecchini, Hannah (Kolby) Breaux, Shaw, Gennah, Brannen, Bryer, Kasey, Barrett and Bullock Prince; 22 great-nieces and nephews, Seeley, Sadey, Shayna, Payton, Aydan, Kalli, Matti, Dash, Emeri, Hazli, Loxli, Oakli, Wes, Jax and Jace Prince, Quaid Fisher, Penelope Cecchini, Caroline Prince, Kinsley and Kamille Breaux, Monroe, Lyla (and a boy on the way) Prince.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Rillius and Margaret Prince, Morris and Lelia LaBiche; nephew, Cole Prince; godchild, Keith Arabie; and Beloved Godmother, Mary Ann Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Colt Fisher, Rocky Prince, T-Ken Chaisson, Brett Kounce, Jake Griffith, and Hook LeDoux.
Honorary Pallbearers are Shane Hanchey, Tuff Cooper, all her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cliff Courville and Dr. Leroy Fredericks for the loving care they gave Rhoda through all her TOUGH TIMES!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022. Visitation will resume on Friday from 10 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. for a processional to Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church for services. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Monsignor Danny Torres will officiate services.
