Franklin Denry Foote

Franklin Denry Foote, 88, of Sulphur, La., passed away on Aug. 14, 2022, in a local care facility. Franklin was born on Oct. 17, 1933, in Indian Bayou, La., to Denry and Elida Foote. He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, crabbing, and gardening. Franklin was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, where he proudly served and cared for the church grounds with the Garden Angels. He served the community and parish as either a teacher or a principal at the following schools: F.K. White, Vincent Settlement, E.K. Key, Frasch, D.S. Perkins, and Holy Family Catholic School.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Carla Atkinson and Maurice, Craig Foote and Susan, Janine Stroderd and David, Jill Guilbeau and Ben Jr.; nine grandchildren, Meagan, Neil, Emily, Shannon, Joshua, Jordan, Ethan, Benjamin III, Rachel; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Foote; parents; and three brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, from 8 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
