Steven Bryan Lumpkin, 75, of Western Grove, Ark., passed away on June 3, 2022, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He and his wife were residents of Western Grove for the past 19 years.
Steve was born on Oct. 24, 1946, in Lake Charles to W. Bryan and Nona Carr Lumpkin. He had a lifelong fascination with anything electronic. Steve was mentored by Bill Gabbert and received his ham operator license at the early age of 9. This continued to be a hobby his entire life.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, W. Brent Lumpkin; and son, Michael John Lumpkin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Watson Lumpkin; his sons, Steven Eric Lumpkin and wife Rose of Lafayette, Luke Bryan Lumpkin and wife Charise of Houston; stepsons, Robert Jackson of Suwanee, Ga., Nate Jackson of Alameda, Calif.; 8 grandchildren; his brother, Mark Eric Lumpkin and wife Debbie of Baton Rouge; sister-in-law, Jane Jessen Lumpkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His cremation has been entrusted to Roller-Christeson Funeral Home of Harrison, Ark.
Steve was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
