Michael Scott White, 32, of Westlake, La., passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at his residence in Raceland, La. He was born on Sept. 25, 1989, in Lake Charles, La. He was a caring, funny guy, and the jokester of the party; he always made people laugh and always had a smile on his face. Michael loved spending time with his son, which was his heart and whom he loved very much. He was truly a family man.
He is survived by his son, Brady Lee White of Moss Bluff; sisters, Courtney Rose White Spell (David) of Westlake, La., Jeanne Marie White of Lake Charles, La.; parents, Denise Dejean (Harvey) of Duson, La., John Michael White (Sarah) of Lake Charles, La.; his best friend and mother of his child, Courtney Rogers of Moss Bluff; grandparents, Patricia White, Beverly Guthrie; step-grandmother, Patricia Arceneaux; along with his three nephews, Logan, Bentley, and Dalton.
Michael was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, John Homer and Rose Marie “Sis” White, Abraham and Clara Guidry, Bernice Guthrie; along with his grandfather, Donald E. Guthrie.
A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake, La., on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Msgr. Jace Eskind officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake, La.
