Carey Dale Farquhar, age 74, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2022. He was born Aug. 1, 1947, to parents Scylton Farquhar and Ruby Stracener Farquhar of Dry Creek, La.
He was a native of Lake Charles, La., and a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff, La. Carey Dale graduated from Sam Houston High School Class of 1965. He was also a member of the Christian Faith and a member of the Carpenter’s Local. Carey Dale enjoyed studying his Bible and witnessing the Word of the Lord.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Daron Farquhar and wife Christie of Gillis, La.; his daughter, Tonya Farquhar; his brother, Monroe Farquhar and wife Peggy of Moss Buff, La.; his sister, Joyce Cole and husband Richard of Gillis, La.; two grandchildren, Ethan and Charlie; and three nephews, Randy, Kirt and Scott.
Carey Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ronald Farquhar; sister, Avaughn Frye; and his nephew, Richard Lynn Cole.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 until time of service at 1 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Bluff, La. The Rev. Cary Ladner will preside. Burial will follow immediately at Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder, La.
