Hopheads and Tech-Fans get ready as Crying Eagle Brewing’s new release brings both worlds together.
Crying Eagle Brewing Co., based in Lake Charles, has announced the release of Divine Imagination, its newest Double IPA. (IPA is an abbreviation for India pale ale, a style of beer.) With this release, Crying Eagle is offering 50 unique NFTs that correspond with the can artwork.
NFT stands for non-fungible token. “Non-fungible” means that it is completely unique. “Token” means that it can be transferred on a blockchain. Essentially, NFTs are assets that carry a unique digital identity and can be traded between users on a public blockchain like Tezos.
“Divine Imagination DIPA has been a work in progress for years” says Eric Avery, President of Crying Eagle Brewing. “The can art goes well beyond what consumers expect from craft breweries.”
Designed by Baton Rouge marketing firm, Tilt, the can displays angels and demons battling one another for world supremacy, while earthly gates open to reveal a glorious eternity.
The beer, Crying Eagle Brewing’s first release in 16-ounce cans, conveys
beautiful notes of tropical fruit and white wine with soft, pointed bitterness, all while having a rich, velvety mouth-feel.
“This Double IPA embodies everything we know and love about hoppy beer. The result is a perfect balance of hop flavor, elegance, and expression” says Ryan O’Donnell, Brewmaster at Crying Eagle Brewing.
The corresponding Divine Imagination NFT’s will roll out on the emerging https://go.gigantic.network, a startup Avery co-founded with partners Josh McGee and Chad Moreno.
“It is our hope that the NFT rollout for Divine Imagination exceeds expectations of world-class brand building and high-tech marketing. If so, we look to tap into our industry contacts to make the Gigantic Network a premier NFT marketplace for craft breweries and artists alike,” says Avery.
Divine Imagination DIPA was released May 12.
