Elizabeth Ann Runge

Elizabeth Ann Runge entered peacefully into rest on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the age of 79 years, three months, and 30 days, in her home in DeRidder with her family by her side. Elizabeth was born on Friday, Dec. 11, 1942, in Zwolle, La., to Marvin and Lula Mae Yawn Martinez.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022, with visitation starting at 9 a.m. and service will begin at 10 a.m., at Grace Church with The Rev. George Lee Glass, pastor, officiating. Interment will
follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Elizabeth was an avid fisherwoman and loved to be out on the water. She loved spending time at her camp on Toledo Bend Lake in Zwolle. She was a member of Grace Church in DeRidder.
Elizabeth loved her family and loved to taking care of them as well as caring for others. She loved family get togethers where everyone was able to enjoy her food. She loved Marylin Monroe and especially Elvis Presley, and Elvis would always make an appearance at her family reunions. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her especially her loving family.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 64 years, Jerry Runge of DeRidder; two sons, Michael Runge and wife Elizabeth Ann of DeRidder, and Eric Runge and wife Mindy of Stonewall, La.; two daughters, Sandra Clark of DeRidder, and Sherrie Miers of Zachary, La.; three brothers, Daniel Martinez of DeRidder, Karl Martinez of DeRidder, and Donnie Martinez of Grand Prairie, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lula Martinez; daughter, Patricia Boyle; siblings, Cecil Martinez, Frankie Martinez, Wayne Martinez, Edna McKnight, and Billy Martinez.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Joby Boyle, Cody Sigler, Dustin Clark, Christopher Runge, Gavin Miers, and Gavin Whitaker.
