A motorcycle driver was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in DeRidder, authorities said.

DeRidder Police reported the crash occurred at about 12:50 p.m. on U.S 190 when the motorcycle struck a Toyota Highlander SUV that was crossing U.S. 190 onto Wingate Road.

As of Sunday evening, police said the passenger on the motorcycle was in critical condition and had been transported to another hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the SUV had also been transported for medical treatment.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and that more information is expected to be released at a later time.
