Marguerite Kennedy Hoyle

LULING — Following a brief illness and surrounded by her loving family, Marguerite, 97, peacefully transcended to the arms of Jesus Christ at her home. She lived a life marked with a rich legacy of love, joy, and peace. Born in Homer, La., to Mary and Homer Kennedy, she was one of six siblings.
David C. Hoyle and Marguerite married in 1946 and were blessed with three loving children, making Sulphur their home. Following David’s death, she began a career at Cal-Cam Hospital as a Ward Clerk. Marguerite was a loving wife and mother, an ardent prayer warrior, an avid gardener, masterful seamstress and a self-taught pianist. She was a faithful member of Houston River Baptist Church. Relocating to Luling, La., for the last 8 years, her heart was always in Sulphur.
Preceded in death by her precious David; parents; sisters, Evelyn, Ruth, Eunice and Mary.
She is survived by her children, Michael Hoyle (Judy), Susan Sumlin (Mike), Pam Huber (Chris); sister, Sally Bruno; grandchildren, Angela Lambert (John), Allison Huber (Greg), Katie St. Clair (Mike), David and Taylor Hoyle; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Wyatt and Izzy Lambert, Maggie Huber Kern; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at Houston River Baptist Church, Sulphur. Internment will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss, La.
