DeRidder home hit during drive-by shooting

DeRidder Police are investigating a shooting in a residential neighborhood that occurred early Tuesday morning.
Police Chief Craig Richard said the shooting occurred at a residence on Charleston Drive, just north of DeRidder High School, at about 4 a.m. He said a home there was hit three times by bullets that appear to have been fired from a vehicle, but that further details are unknown.
“We have little information as to the direction of travel or the type of vehicle involved,” Richard stated.
Richard said no injuries were reported.
A Crimestoppers alert has been issued in regards to the incident and detectives are asking residents in the Ellis Road, Glendale Road, and High School Drive to check their surveillance cameras for anything suspicious. The timeframe detectives are looking for would be between 3:50 a.m. and 4:10 a.m., Richard said.
