A Jennings man is facing two counts of attempted murder and other charges after police said he stabbed another man during a disturbance.
Louis Johnson, 30, was arrested on two counts of attempted second-degree murder and two counts of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. He is being held in the Jeff Davis Parish Jail on a $200,000 bond.
Jennings police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence on West Jefferson Street on March 14.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who had visible stab wounds to his hand and lacerations to his torso.
Officers also learned that there was a second victim, who the suspect had attempted to stab but was unsuccessful.
During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the incident was the result of a disagreement between individuals in which Johnson presented a knife and attempted to stab the first victim before standing the second victim.
Two juveniles were present at the residence during the incident.
