Robert  Lawrence Boudreaux Sr.

Robert Lawrence Boudreaux Sr., age 77, of Hot Springs, Ark. passed away, Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1944, in Morgan City, La., the son of Carbet Lawrence Boudreaux and Ethel Frieda Ratcliff Boudreaux.  He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael Boudreaux; and one sister, Brenda Christensen.

Bob loved life and his family deeply and passionately.  He was a sea captain, a businessman and most important to him; an amazing husband for six decades and the best father to his children.  His kind and gentle heart had room for everyone and all things, especially his sweet little dog “Mikey”.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him, never to be forgotten.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Boudreaux; his children and their spouses, Mary and Vince DeBenedetto of Natchez, Miss., Robert Boudreaux Jr. and Becky of Moss Bluff, La., and Carl and Chelsea Boudreaux of Lake Charles, La.; five grandchildren, Christain Hunt, Ashley Hunt Clapp, Robert L. Boudreaux III and wife, Jacquetta, Ali Mason and Zoe (Alex) Boudreaux; several great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay and Sharon Boudreaux of Johnson Bayou, La., Dean and Bonnie Boudreaux of Morgan City, La. and Ricky and Suzanne Boudreaux of Morgan City, La.; one sister, Sandra Bergeron of Morgan City, La.; one sister-in-law, Sharon Boudreaux of Morgan City, La.; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., prior to the service.
