Donald Edward Ladd was born Feb. 8, 1937, to his loving parents, Willard and Nola H. Ladd. Donald was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Donald worked as a long distance truck driver. He retired from Vaughn Brother’s Construction Company. He also was a longtime caretaker of Hi-Mount Cemetery.
Donald was extremely proud to have served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Marines from June 1, 1960 to May 31, 1966. He received a Good Conduct Medal and a Rifle Marksman Badge.
Donald entered into eternal rest on Jan. 26, 2022, exactly 20 years after his mother who gained her wings on Jan. 26, 2002. How wonderfully comforting to know that they are once again united in love.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his elder brother Bennie R. Ware, his younger brother Clyde F. Ladd, his younger sister Florence Ida Ladd, and his niece Marlene Albert.
Donald leaves to cherish his memory one sister Linda Ladd Albert, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
