Linda Mae Parks

Linda Mae Parks, 70 of Lake Charles, La., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, surrounded by her family. Linda was born June 9, 1951. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School where she obtained her primary and secondary education and was a 1968 graduate of Lake Charles High School and Sowela Technical Institute.
Linda was a retired secretary after 25 years of service in the Health and Human Performance Department at McNeese State University in 2013. Linda will be most remembered for the loving, meticulous quality she applied to everything she did.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 46 years, Dean H. Parks; and two sons, Clinnon T. Parks and Joshua C. Parks; father-in-law, William Parks; two brothers, Perkin D. Malveaux, Jr. (Elizabeth), John K. Malveaux (Patsy); two sisters, Julie A. Malveaux Ellis and Lisa M. Malveaux; one sister-in-law, Nancy Nisby;as well as a host of neices, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perkin Joseph and Bonnie Mae Richard Malveaux and mother-in-law, Lillian Parks. The family will welcome public visitation Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church beginning at 10 a.m. Prayers for Linda begin at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass begins at noon. Father Richard Uche Adiukwu and Deacon Edward Lavine will officiate. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under direction of Combre Funeral Home.
